My candidate is...
Hello, everyone! I am a jury member of the committee
choosing the person of the year and I am supposed to tell my candidate.
Actually, I was going to choose Probhet Muhammad(Peace and Blessings be upon
him), but, then I gave up this idea because I thought that he was the person of
all times. Anyway, when
it comes to my real candidate, I will make you wait a little bit. I have been
reading his books for a couple of months. He has a very popular book collection
all over the world, this is Risale-i Nur Collection. It is translated for
numerous languages and it has a world-wide reputation. They are (the books)
really interesting, impressive and meaningful. They are generally about Islam
belief, the truths of this belief. Also, I have been more aware, more conscious
for understanding of my coming to world since I started reading these books. I
think that’s enough for his books, let me say who he is. He is Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. Let’s mention
about him. He was born in eastern Turkey in 1877 and died in 1960 at the age of
83. He was a scholar. Having studied not only all the traditional religious
sciences, but also modern science, he earned the name Bediuzzaman. It means
Wonder of Age. His outstanding ability and learning had an effect to earn this
name, too. I chose him because he explains clearly and frankly why man was sent
to the world, what is his true goal, whether it is roaming in the world or
something else. Of course, it is not wandering, it cannot be. We have a
magnificent creation, we have a mind to think what our actual target is and so
on. He explains these things and something like these things successfully and
reasonably. I advise you to read his books J
